The Hôtel de France et de Guise, a boutique hotel, is located in the centre of Blois, 45 minutes from Beauval Zoo.
10,000 animals from 600 different species
Created in 1980 in Saint-Aignan by Françoise Delord, Beauval zoo is ranked among the 15 most beautiful zoos in the world. Beauval is renowned for its work on issues relating to wild animals living in zoos, in particular :
- the world's first insemination of an elephant
- births of rare species: two baby koalas, fifth baby gorilla, baby orang-utan
- extremely rare animals: white lions, koalas, white tigers, great apes
- the largest collection of birds in France, with 400 parrots
Spaces dedicated to animals
The 27-hectare park is divided into several areas dedicated to the well-being of the animals:
- the asian plain
- the African savannah
- the plain of the elephants
- the 4 giant greenhouses
- vivariums
- the tropical aquarium
- the penguin pond
- the nursery
Beauval ZooParc has become the 3rd largest tourist attraction in the Centre France region, after the Châteaux of Chambord and Chenonceau. The zoo is dotted with several snack bars, where you can take a break with the kids. Numerous events and mini-conferences are organised throughout the day in all parts of the zoo.

Beauval Zoo is located in Saint-Aignan, near Blois, between Tours and Orléans. It is open every day of the year from 9am.
